Phew! I survived my first big show! I had so much fun sharing a wee bit of space in Jill Draper’s booth a few weekends ago in Chicago. We joined forces to sell our wares at Vogue Knitting Live.
It was a perfect partnership. Jill needed an extra set of knitter hands over the weekend to help answer questions, and I was looking to get my patterns out into the world more, but without the cost of a whole booth to myself. I love Jill’s colours and yarn bases. Did you know that she is moving over to having all her base yarns milled just for her in the US? It is just that sort of business that I like to support. The yarn in the basket in the photo below is a mohair/lambswool blend, and the mohair comes from her mom’s goats! My patterns were a great compliment to Jill’s yarns. We were able to knit a bunch of them up for the show. I can’t wait to see what everyone does with them!
In fact, the whole thing went so well that we are planning on doing the whole thing again in New York in January. The only difference is that it will be bigger and better than ever.
Thanks so much for hosting me in your booth Jill!

Sounds like a fun time. And New York in January, wow!
Way to go, it looks like a blast. Love the colours.
The booth looks so beautiful and inviting, congrats! I’m so impressed that Jill’s mom has her own goats, that’s amazing!
I think I may be going to NYC in January! Who else will be there? Let’s do drinks. Yes, I am excited,
